Gaku Iida handles all areas of corporate legal practice, specializing in litigation and dispute resolution, company law, M&A, restructuring, contract law, and insolvency law.
In the litigation field, Mr. Iida has extensive experience in default and tort-related claims for damages, shareholder lawsuits, real estate-related lawsuits, and defamation lawsuits.
In the company law field, Mr. Iida has frequently advised on stock transfers, mergers, breakups, stock exchange, tender offers, etc. of listed companies and unlisted companies. He also provides support for shareholder general meetings and the handling of corporate scandals.
In the insolvency field, in addition to serving as a court-appointed bankruptcy administrator for corporations and individuals, Mr. Iida also has experience as a petitioner representative for civil rehabilitation procedures and as an administrator for corporate rehabilitation procedures.
When consulting with clients, Mr. Iida does not stop at pointing out the risks from a legal perspective, he makes sure to provide specific and constructive proposals from a business point of view based on a thorough understanding of the client’s business. In dispute cases, he tries his utmost to draft detailed complaints and preparatory documents by rigorously simulating all possible scenarios.
