Takuya Matsumoto provides legal services across a broad range of legal fields, including M&A, finance, litigation and dispute resolution, intellectual property, labor issues, anti-trust, and business rehabilitation.
In the M&A field, he focuses on small and medium enterprises as a buy-side advisor providing advice on legal issues, documentation services such as drafting share transfer agreements, and filings with the Japan Fair Trade Commission. Mr. Matsumoto also has extensive experience as a sell-side advisor.
In the finance field, Mr. Matsumoto focuses on the asset-based lending (ABL) area as an advisor to lenders, and utilizes his business rehabilitation and litigation experience to provide advise all aspects from funding to recovery.
In the field of litigation and dispute resolution, Mr. Matsumoto is experienced in large-scale patent infringement litigation and cases involving commissioned IT/software development, and also handles negotiations over a broad scope of fields, including negotiations regarding the consolidation of shares among the shareholders of defunct companies and negotiations with unions.
Much of Mr. Matsumoto’s recent work has involved legal services to venture firms, where he has supported IPOs as retained counsel, as well as also being engaged as an independent auditor for companies preparing for an IPO.
